Job description

The Trade Marketeer belongs to the marketing department and directly reports to the Trade Marketing Manager. He/she contributes to the operational follow-up of the contracts negotiated with laboratories regarding marketing budget as well as the company’s actions with the participation of the laboratories.

His/her role is to suggest and develop a Trade Marketing plan for suppliers and pharmaceuticals laboratories with whom a marketing budget has been negotiated.

He/she must find the best solutions to develop the suppliers’ brands on the e-business platform.

Responsibility for the yearly trade marketing action plans:

Based on the marketing budgets negotiated by the Purchase Department, the Trade Marketeer is responsible (under supervision of the Trade Marketing Manager) for establishing a yearly marketing and action plan (banners, spaces in newsletters, social media contest, …) to present and sell to the company’s suppliers:

  • Contact all laboratories for which a marketing budget has been negotiated by the buyer: the strategy of the marketing actions always have to be linked to a commercial agreement;

  • Support to create win-win trade marketing plans;

  • Introduce to suppliers the different marketing actions the company has to offer (gifts, loyalty programs,…) and see in which program they are willing to participate;

  • Reach out to laboratories to propose temporary actions in which they can participate (e.g., Black Friday, flash sales), based on predefined commercial agreements.

  • Suggest extra creative ideas to suppliers and ask for a participation in the marketing offers;

  • Be the main contact person between the suppliers and Newpharma for all the marketing part;

Operational tasks and reporting:

  • Share information related to marketing actions so that the different departments have the required information (reservation file, Jira, …);

  • Communicate efficiently with all the stakeholders involved in the actions (Emailing department, Brand department,…);

  • Handle all billing tasks for the various actions ;

  • Report to the Trade Marketing Manager and work in very close collaboration with the team of purchasers;

  • Complete actions in our systems to give visibility to the purchasing department;

  • Create regular reports for the purchasing department to keep them informed on the results of the actions.

Reporting and Feedback:

  • Share regular updates on campaign performance with stakeholders, and provide relevant observations to support continuous improvement and alignment with marketing objectives.

  • Use customer insights and market data to inform and enhance collaborative marketing strategies with labs and suppliers, demonstrating the effectiveness of our e-commerce platform for targeted customer outreach.

  • Solve invoicing problems (managed by Romanian colleagues) related to the trade marketing plans;

  • Follow-up the KPIs on the different marketing actions;

  • Keep up to date with the different marketing developments;

  • Draft and share marketing contracts using the approved template, and coordinate the signature process.

  • Carry out discussions on the return of unsold stock following a marketing action in parallel with the signed contract;

  • Make sure the marketing actions negotiated with the suppliers are accepted by the pharma department.

Job requirements

EDUCATION :  Degree in Marketing, communication, commerce or equivalent.

Years of experience: 3-5 years experience in marketing or sales.
