Job description
As Pricing Specialist, you will be part of the Pricing Team and directly report to the Pricing Manager.
Your main role is to impact the organization, providing actionable pricing and category insights and recommendations to your team members, the direction, the business, and external stakeholders. You provide this input thanks to in-depth analyses through pricing category management and a good understanding of business and pricing.
You insure the follow-up with these stakeholders to make sure recommendations are being followed.
Main responsibilities
High analytical skills, a results-oriented spirit and a good business and market understanding will allow you to handle the following responsibilities:
Strategic tasks:
a) Pricing category management
You impact the organization by developing a relevant pricing strategy based on the category of the products;
You carry out sales and market trend analyses by categories of products and provide insights to the business ;
You carry out ad-hoc category analyses to optimize sales and margin by improving pricing rules and parameters;
You recommend actions plans to the direction.
b) General pricing aspects
You analyze data for specific pricing purposes (projects, punctual actions, testing’s, strategies’ impact measurements, discounts, shipping costs, etc.);
You evaluate the competitive impact on strategies and prices and define the competitive landscape based on metrics and strategic goals;
You support project implementation with the team members and provide help on process improvements when needed;
You recommend actions plans to the direction.
Operational tasks:
You make sure the prices correctly reflect the pricing strategy defined and make price modifications when necessary;
You create and maintain pricing reports and KPI's in collaboration with our data team;
You set the prices thanks to your analyses and follow their impact on sales;
You react to prices issues by taking operational decisions and actions, based on appropriate insights.
Job requirements
EDUCATION : Business administration, finance, marketing or economic degree.
Years of experience: at least 5 years of professional experience in a financial environment.
Excellent analytical skills with a thorough spirit: advanced knowledge of Excel, BI tool or any other analytical or data visualization tool.
Knowledge of e-commerce, data and pricing matters.
Problem solving, results-oriented and customer centric approach.
Good communication skills: ability to summarize and communicate issues and initiate negotiations with stakeholders.
Assertiveness and proactivity: ability to anticipate issues and make things change.
Ability to evolve in a “just-in-time” and fast-moving environment and to deal with changing processes and cope with tight deadlines.
